The Lebanese Basketball Federation mourns the death of former national team star and Al-Riyadi club legend Mohammad Bakri.
Known for his exceptional skills and accurate shooting, Bakri shined in the 1970s and 1980s, becoming one of the basketball icons in Lebanon and the Middle East.
He represented Lebanon in numerous tournaments, including the 1979 Universiade in Mexico, where he ranked as the third highest scorer. A talented player and accomplished engineer, Bakri later pursued his doctorate in France and supported Lebanese basketball in various capacities.
His legacy as one of the region’s greatest players will forever be remembered. May he rest in peace.
