Men
Without the hoped-for threesome, our purple and white team had to travel home to Berlin on Saturday. There was nothing for our violets in the away game at Optik Rathenow. After the strong performance against Dynamo Schwerin, they had hoped for much more. TeBe started the game dominating the game, but didn’t take advantage of the chances. After a good ten minutes, Optik became stronger and took more and more control of the game. The home team was secure at the back and came dangerously in front of the TeBe goal through lightning-fast counterattacks. It was solely thanks to the TeBe goalkeeper Karsten, who had been in a brilliant mood up until then, that the score was tied at half-time. Then in the 51st minute the home team took the lead. After a TeBe attack, Optik skillfully countered the TeBe defense and made it 1-0 through Mantatu Rogero. It was also TeBe goalkeeper Karsten who kept the guests in the game, at least mathematically, with good saves. Until the 83rd minute. Karsten dribbled the ball in the penalty area, Optiks Zie was quickest and increased the score to 2-0. That was it then. Optik deserves its first home threesome and climbs to 11th place.
For TeBe, all that remains is to look forward. On Friday, Eintracht Mahlsdorf, sixth in the table, is coming to the Mommsenstadion. Kick-off is at 7:30 p.m.
Come on TeBe!
