Inza Dene and Tommaso Roda return to wear the blue shirt. In fact, they appear in the list of twenty-five called up for the Parma meeting in view of the Italy U19 vs France U19 test match which will be held on Saturday 23 November in Parabiago. The Azzurrini, led by the U19 national technical manager Alessandro Castagna, will meet in Parma on Monday 18 November and after three days of preparation at the Club Rugby Parma, on Thursday 21 November they will move to Parabiago for a further training session. The team run is scheduled for Friday 22nd at the Red & Blue Stadium and on Saturday 23rd, at 2.30 pm, they will take to the field in the match against the same age group of the French national team. Dene and Roda, both born in 2006, third line and wing back, play in the U18 of the Omnia project and made their debut this season in the Serie A championship among the ranks of Piacenza Rugby. Together with another Omnia athlete, Filippo Esposito of Elephant Rugby Gossolengo, they are also attending the U19 Federal Center in Milan, the structure that offers the athletes involved a technical training course that aims at a high level.
Both have already had the opportunity to measure themselves with the international context on several previous occasions. It is a source of great pride for Piacenza Rugby and Omnia to see two of their athletes confirmed in the national team. Daniele Boccuni, president of Piacenza Rugby, underlines that “these athletes are also the result of a collective commitment, of a team that has allowed them to express their qualities and grow. They have the opportunity to grow and bring valuable experience back to their club. It is above all the fruit of excellent work by the numerous technicians who have supported them from minirugby to today and who have been able to pass on all their skills and their great passion for this sport”. With undeniable satisfaction, Boccuni concludes, “I think this is definitely a win for everyone”.
