The historic Fernando Valenzuela received a new tribute this Friday from the Los Angeles Dodgers, now in the celebrations for winning the Major League Baseball (MLB) World Series title, on the day of his birth.
The Los Angeles franchise celebrated the day the Tour At the age of 64, Valenzuela would have won his eighth Major League crown obtained on Wednesday, October 30 against the New York Yankees in the New Yorkers stadium.
The Dodgers began their celebration this Friday with a parade in the main streets of Los Angeles before thousands of fans, most of whom wore the shirt with the mythical and retired number 34 of Toro Valenzuela.
With Latin overtones, Los Angeles fans filled the streets to also remember the legendary Mexican pitcher who died on the eve of the start of the Fall Classic won by the team in which he became immortal.
The California ninth came back from the Bronx Bombers to win the fifth game with score of 7-6 and thus seal the title of the Fall Classic at Yankee Stadium, where the locals had a catastrophic fifth inning.
At the start of the World Series, the Dodgers honored Valenzuela by placing the number 34 on the diamond mound and dedicating a ceremony prior to the play ball.

Now, as expected, the Dodgers gave the Tour Valenzuela in the festivities, which began with the parade and celebration in Dodger Stadium with his fans, thus commemorating his birth this November 1.
Moments before the team arrived at Dodger Stadium, the fans sang happy birthday a Fernando Valenzuelawho would turn 64 years old.
Furthermore, the stadium was filled with flowers in memory of Touras well as jerseys with the number 34. In one of the stadium’s boxes, Valenzuela’s number was displayed accompanied by a floral decoration in the shape of a cross.
