The winner of three Cy-Young trophies is now a free agent.

The left-handed pitcher should nevertheless sign a new contract with the Dodgers, his only team during his 17 seasons in major league baseball.

The 36-year-old Gunner missed most of last campaign due to injuries. He was 2-2 with a 4.50 ERA in seven starts.

The Dodgers exercised their options on infielder Miguel Rojas ($5 million) and catcher Austin Barnes ($3.5 million).

Rojas finished last season with a .283 batting average, six home runs and 36 RBIs. Barnes hit .264 with a home run and 11 RBIs.

The Dodgers also made a qualifying offer of $21.05 million to Teoscar Hernandez, who has hit a career-high 33 homers in 2024. He has until November 19 to make his decision.
