Double-double by Pöltl in Toronto’s win against Indiana

Jakob Pöltl made a significant contribution to the Toronto Raptors’ third win of the season in the NBA on Monday.

The center from Vienna scored 30 points and 15 rebounds in the 130:119 win against the Indiana Pacers.

It was the 29-year-old’s third double-double in a row and his eighth of the season. Overall, it was the 99th time that Pöltl scored double figures in games of the regular NBA season.

The center also recorded two assists, steals and blocks in 37:37 minutes of action.

He was in the starting line-up against Indiana for the 300th time in his career in the world’s strongest basketball league. The 130:119 was the first win for the Raptors since the 131:128 against the Sacramento Kings on November 2nd. After that, there were seven defeats.

Raptors up to 22 points ahead

Monday’s game was ultimately a clear affair for the Canadians, who were only down 40:41 in the second quarter. For their part, the Raptors were temporarily ahead by 22 points. Pöltl scored 85:63 (31st minute).

RJ Barrett stood out as the top scorer with a season best of 39 points. Pascal Siakam, who was only traded to the Pacers by Toronto in January, recorded a double-double at his previous place of work with 25 points and ten rebounds like his friend Pöltl.

With three wins and twelve defeats, the Raptors have given up the “red lantern” in the NBA. They host the Minnesota Timberwolves on Thursday.

Washington new bottom

The Milwaukee Bucks ended the Texans’ five-game winning streak with a 101-100 win over the Houston Rockets.

They were led by Brook Lopez with 27 points and ten rebounds. The new NBA bottom is the Washington Wizards, who suffered their ninth defeat in a row with a 106:134 defeat at the New York Knicks.
