It was very close for the flagship team of the Club Alençonnais de Badminton (CAB) to suffer its first setback of the season.
It was counting without the victory of Tom Germain, in the decisive match, Saturday November 16, at the Alice Milliat gymnasium inAlençon (Orne). The Alençonnais thus won (21-15, 21-19) and allowed his club to obtain a draw (4-4) with the Bretons of Saint-Jacques.
CAB remains undefeated
Yann Lemesle, the captain, was happy and recognized the value of the Saint-Jacques badists: “I had announced a very solid team, and that was the case. The girls, in particular, were very strong. »
No matter, the CAB did the job, especially in the singles, with three victories in four matches. In the doubles, it was more complicated. “We are stronger individually. »
A smile slightly tarnished by the victory of Cellier-Ligné (6-2) in its duel against Guiche – Bourg-des-Comptes. “That prevented us from making the hole,” regretted the captain.
