Cédric Nzaza, young entrepreneur and basketball enthusiast, died this Thursday in Kinshasa after falling ill at the Hôtel du Fleuve, where the Makutano Forum is being held. Nzaza, who defined himself as a sports operator, expressed his pride in participating in his first Makutano, posting on Facebook: “honored to take part in my first Makutano”.
A few hours before his death, Nzaza, alongside two other young entrepreneurs, had presented his concept of entrepreneurship in the sports sector to former international footballer Samuel Eto’o. President of the BC One Team, a club playing in the Kinshasa provincial basketball league, Nzaza was involved in coaching young people. He founded the One Team Academy in 2018, initially dedicated to under-12s, and launched the club in 2019.
The Makutano Forum reacted by publishing a message of condolences: “Makutano pays tribute to Cédric Nzaza, who experienced a crisis during a #HousePME session with young entrepreneurs. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones at this difficult time. »
Nzaza’s death, which occurred during an event aimed at promoting entrepreneurship, aroused great emotion in the sports community and among young entrepreneurs in the DRC.
