The Carabinieri of the Saronno Company, supported by colleagues from the Busto Arsizio and Gallarate companies, the Heliported Hunters Squadron of Calabria, the Operational Intervention Teams of Milan, the canine units of the Carabinieri of Orio al Serio and the Local Police of Saronno gave execution of a precautionary custody order issued by the court of Busto Arsizio, against 8 people all of Tunisian origin accused of being engaged in drug dealing.
The investigations conducted by the Operational and Radiomobile unit of the Saronno Company which made it possible to defeat a criminal organization that managed one of the most profitable drug dealing centers in the wooded areas between Saronno Sud and Caronno Pertusella, began following the attempted murder of a 17-year-old Tunisian boy who was irregular on the national territory, who had been stabbed inside the wooded area of Cascina Colombara, a place that initially gave rise to speculation, to the Carabinieri who intervened, possible conflicts in the drug dealing environments at the basis of the wounding, only to then discover that the young man, also with a role in the management of the drug dealing place, had been stabbed over a banal argument linked to the use of a bicycle.
During the investigations, which initially led to the arrest of the person responsible for the wounding, the flourishing drug dealing activity managed by the North Africans was also outlined, also bringing to light their particularly violent and aggressive nature, there were several calls to 112 citizens who found themselves walking near the drug dealing areas and were also driven away with the threat of machetes and knives.
The promoters of the organization, in particular, did not personally frequent the wooded area where the drug dealing actually took place, but from home, receiving numerous phone calls from customers, mainly looking for cocaine, they coordinated the meeting and the sale with those who instead had the task of guarding the wooded area and selling the narcotic substance.
The shop never stopped, the square was active 24 hours a day and every day of the week also because the demand was great and being served by the railway stations of both Saronno Sud and Caronno Pertusella, it was easily reachable by all buyers. The amount of earnings was on average around 5000 euros per day and they could also count on a dense network of sentries, mainly drug addicts who lived inside tents or makeshift shelters a short distance from the drug dealing area or inside the railway stations.
Of the eight recipients of the precautionary measure, the Carabinieri, after several days of observation and shadowing, managed to tighten the handcuffs on the wrists of four of these, while a fifth, already detained for the attempted murder which triggered the investigation , was notified in prison of the further restrictive measure, while three others were untraceable and still wanted.
Three of those arrested were identified in some apartments registered to third parties in the city of Saronno, while a fourth was identified and captured inside the woods where he was maintaining a night garrison and at the sight of the Carabinieri he attempted to flee to the fields, but the massive deployment of soldiers on the ground closed off any possibility of escape and he was therefore stopped and handcuffed. Over 600 euros in cash, 2 machetes, 2 daggers, a baseball bat and a compressed air gun, a faithful reproduction of a firearm, were found in his possession.
The situation that the soldiers found inside the wooded area was one of absolute degradation, with waste of all kinds and makeshift mattresses used by both drug dealers and consumers who usually consume the newly purchased narcotic inside the woods. During the searches, over 18 thousand euros in cash were found inside the home of a suspect contained in a bag, which the man had tried to hide by hiding them inside the washing machine which was started for washing together with the laundry but the banknotes, although wet, were found and seized by the Carabinieri. In the same apartment, 10 mobile phones were seized which the owners tried to destroy when the Carabinieri arrived, as well as precision scales.
During the searches, 4 other illegal foreign subjects were stopped on the national territory and subjected to photo identification. All those arrested after the formalities were transferred to prison in Busto Arsizio at the disposal of the Judicial Authority
