Starts in November
It’s early, and it’s November again this year.
I have been working on a draft of this column since November 1st.
As someone like me who values numbers, I felt that November 1st, the day when there are three 1’s in a row, was the perfect place to start.
“305”, which was established as a promotional activity, refers to the ring’s height of 305cm.
『Creating an environment where everyone can play basketball”, the height of the ring is the same for everyone. I plan to tell you more about 305 in the next installment, but there are a lot of other things going on this month.
Among them, I am particularly looking forward to “Ofunato City, Iwate PrefectureA visit to “. 17 years ago, from Ofunato City to my team “Bunzoku”.We want to liven up Ofunato with basketball, so please come!Since then, we have cooperated every year by providing support and participating in clinics and competitions for elementary and junior high school students. I am very happy to be able to visit Ofunato City again this year, which has overcome the 2011 earthquake. In 2017, a minibus team called “Kobenzoku” was established, and in 2023, they were certified as an official athlete team by Ofunato City.
Although it is a small task, we will do our best this year as well. I hope to report on the situation in Ofunato City in my next column.
