(Seoul = News 1) Reporter Lee Seol = Seoul Eunpyeong-gu announced on the 28th that ‘Seooreung Neighborhood Park’, which can be used by people of all ages, will be opened to residents starting this month.
The district created a ‘life-friendly park’ that reflected the active opinions of residents on a 13,233㎡ site in the area of 228-61, Galhyeon-dong. We held more than six briefing sessions and installed park facilities that everyone, from children to the elderly, can use in response to the needs of various residents.
The ‘Ecological Playground’ play facility for children was installed using wood to give the feeling of playing in the forest. The floor is made of eco-friendly cork packaging so that children can use it comfortably and safely.
The ‘physical training facility’ for teenagers from nearby schools is equipped with 7 types of exercise equipment based on the Corosfit exercise and an endless pull-up bar, so they can exercise and play.
In particular, a 100m barefoot yellow clay road using red clay blocks was created for the elderly, allowing them to feel the soil. It was created to reflect the opinions of residents who wanted to feel the energy of the land without a concrete foundation in the lower part of Hwangtot Road.
The ‘Barefoot Yellow Clay Road’ has increased the convenience of use by installing auxiliary facilities such as a foot washing station and shoe storage station, and is planning to appoint barefoot health road guardians so that residents can take care of the Yellow Clay Road themselves.
In addition, the existing tennis court was reorganized to create 3 tennis courts and a 0.5-sided practice court. Each court has a waiting room for players for convenient use. Seooreung Tennis Court will be operated by the Eunpyeong-gu Facilities Management Corporation and reservations will be accepted through the public reservation system.
Four ‘floor gardens’ were also created along the trails within the park. Maru Garden is a name that conveys the hope that it will become a place of relaxation for everyone.
Eunpyeong-gu Mayor Kim Mi-kyung said, “Seooreung Neighborhood Park is a place that contains everything for the residents,” and added, “I hope it will become a warm resting place loved by the residents.”
