Fuegian judo said goodbye to the national competition with two new bronze medals from Sergio Legue (-64 kg) and Uriel Farías (-53 kg); while in urban sports, Octavio Miranda won the silver medal in the BMX discipline.
A women’s futsal match was held at the Mar del Plata Club for third place. Despite the effort, Tierra del Fuego did not achieve bronze, falling 7 to 1 against the province of Tucumán and placing 4th in the national competition.
For its part, the men’s team that was in search of gold made its presentation at the Banco Provincia Club. They lost 2 to 0 against Santa Cruz and became runner-up in the Evita futsal.

In this way, the participation of the Fuegian delegation in the Evita National Games ends and it begins its return to Tierra del Fuego this same weekend. Jainén Turdo, head of the delegation, pointed out that “we are all very happy to have participated with a delegation of 270 people, including athletes, teachers and coaches, and the medals they obtained in each discipline.”
Regarding the return to the province, Jainén reported that “there are five buses that take us from Mar del Plata to Buenos Aires and from that point four flights will depart to Ushuaia and one to Río Grande during the weekend.”
