The colors of the Judo-Club Ventimiglia were excellently represented by Gabriel De Lucia and Riccardo Daltoè, Regional Championships of Judo organized by the Fijlkam Liguria Regional Committee as always followed in the race by the coach Antonella Iannucci. Both athletes performed an excellent performance, also showing a good technical background, despite their still young age.
Gabriel De Lucia (Under 13 up to 45Kg) beat all his opponents with Ippon (i.e. with the execution of a perfect technique before the end of regulation time), winning his category and thus winning the title of Regional Champion for 2024. Second place, however, which is narrow for Riccardo Daltoè who, despite having scored three victories for Ippon out of four matches played, had to “settle” for the second step of the podium in the Under 15 up to 81Kg category.
Overall, an important and certainly formative experience for the two young athletes and satisfying for the colors of the Judo Club Ventimiglia, as both athletes arrived to play in the final for 1st place. “Therefore all that remains is to congratulate both of them – they say from the border association – for the commitment with which they take part in the training and also for the excellent result obtained”.
