It was noticeable in the line-up that DKC had the regular ladies of the team, but unfortunately both strong men’s singles Caljouw and Kweekel were missing.
The men’s doubles consisting of Buijk and Duijs had no problem with the opposition of Lagrouw and Jannsen. The point was won in 2 convincing sets.
In the women’s doubles, Tsai and Wang played an exciting three setter against Diemel and Eversdijk. It seemed that at the end of the third set the win would go to Velo, but after a 19-19 draw, some mistakes meant that DKC was able to walk away with the women’s doubles point.
Laurens did not find her rhythm quickly enough in the ladies’ singles against Tan, allowing Velo to add the first point.
Kruijt, on the other hand, had few problems against Janssen. Especially in the second set, the resistance was broken and Kruijt kept his opponent under 10 points.
Flora also convincingly took Diemel’s point in the second ladies’ single.
Duijs, on the other hand, had difficulty achieving his level of play in the second men’s singles match against Duwel, so Velo took their second point.
Both mixes then started, with Buijk and Laurens not having much trouble leaving Lagrouw and Halkema behind.
The second mixed doubles consisting of Kruijt and Tsai against brother and sister Eversdijk also went to DKC, after which the score was 2-6 on the board.
On Sunday it turned out that this result was not enough to catch up with number 2 in the Eredivisie competition: F.IT. Almere increased its lead over DKC to 4 points with a monster score of 8-0.
On Saturday, November 9, Dunlop DKC will play at home against Smashing at 7:00 PM in Sporthal Hogeveld. Will you come and cheer?
