DECLARATIONS
Marcel Matz (Benfica coach): “We had another last minute problem, the [Felipe] Banderó had a fever and sore throat. Matheus was unwell on Monday, with vomiting and everything, and now it was Banderó with a sore throat. We needed to win, play well and also not overload the players. We started with a mature team, but then, little by little, we managed to control the game and place the younger players safely so as not to compromise the result.”
Tomás Natário Teixeira (Benfica zone 4): “I think it was a very well done game on our part. We spent the whole week working for these two games [Fonte do Bastardo e CA Madalena]. These were two well-rounded games, as we expected. Now it’s time to get back to work on Tuesday.”
