Herman van der Zandt (50) and Anna Gimbrere (38) will soon have a son. The science journalist announced earlier this month that she is pregnant, but she had not yet revealed the gender. She did this on Thursday evening in the KRO-NCRV program ‘Pointer‘.
She makes the revelation between nose and lips Pointer. The broadcast is about the fact that the educational system in the Netherlands is stuck in the field of special education, because regular schools cannot sufficiently meet the needs of students who need extra help or care. Anna visits a school with students who need extra help and care.
One of the students has ADHD and offers to make something for Anna’s baby. She says she does not yet know what the baby’s name will be, after which the boy suggests the name Annabel. Anna replies, “Well, it’s only going to be a boy.” Then she looks towards the crew and realizes: “No one actually knows that yet.” The student then suggests the name James.
Anna and Herman announced in 2019 that they are in a relationship. Herman already has two children from a previous marriage.
