Exploring Niklas Hult’s Controversial ‘Shady Seat’ Statement: Insights and Implications

When Elfsborg‘s Niklas Hult, 34, was 18, he left parent club IFK Värnamo. Successful years in, among others, Elfsborg Nice, Panathinaikos and Hannover 96 followed.

Now the left-handed runner is in a somewhat precarious situation. On Sunday, Elfsborg visits the mother club IFK Värnamo – and has the chance to send the club down in the qualifying place for the super league, depending on how IFK Gothenburg goes against Mjällby.

– I have tried not to think too far ahead, but instead focus on Thursday’s match against Braga and push the Värnamo match as far forward as I can. It’s clear that it’s a damn tough seat as well. It will be a very strange match, says Niklas Hult Värnamo News.

He continues:

– We mentioned it a bit quickly, just that it’s a damn strange seat. Obviously, I might not be the best player for that match because there’s a lot of emotion involved. Oscar (Hiljemark) gets to know what he thinks will be best for that match.

In conclusion, Niklas Hult tells us that he has been in contact with a close friend at IFK Värnamo.

– I have constant contact with Freddy (Winsth, defender in Värnamo). Finally, he probably said something along the lines of saying he’s canceling the friendship if I play on Sunday.

Niklas Hult and Freddy Winsth were both born in 1990 and have IFK Värnamo as their parent club.

The clash kicks off on Sunday, 3pm. If IFK Värnamo wins at the same time as IFK Göteborg draws or loses against Mjällby AIF, the Smålänningen have secured Allsvenskan play in 2025.
