Charles Leclerc is the next driver after Max Verstappen who seems to be the target for swearing during the press conference. The Monegasque must report to the stewards after the Sprint Shootout and seems to face the same fate as Verstappen.
Leclerc let himself go for a moment during the press conference after the Mexican Grand Prix and forgot what had happened just before regarding Verstappen in Singapore. The Monegasque simply tried to describe a moment from his race to the press present, but then made a mistake: “I had a moment of upset and when I recovered from it, I immediately had another moment of upset towards the other direction. I thought to myself, ‘Fuck!'” There was then silence for a second or two before he realized he had broken the rule about language. “Oh, no! I don’t want to join Max,” Leclerc laughed.
At first, nothing seemed to be wrong for the Ferrari driver, although the FIA did note that they were considering whether an investigation into Leclerc was necessary. Earlier this weekend, Verstappen already questioned the course of events from the FIA: “Apparently that rule only applies to me, because after the race in Mexico someone also swore and I have not heard anything about it anymore,” said Verstappen. “It’s better not to swear, but some people are just very annoying,” he said this weekend in Brazil.
