After extending his contract as CEO at FC Bayern, Jan-Christian Dreesen is leaving the executive board of the German Football League (DFL) after more than eight years. The German record champions announced this on Friday; The SZ had already reported exclusively on this on November 9th. “After careful consideration, I have decided to resign from my position on the executive board of the DFL,” Dreesen is quoted as saying: “The increased demands as chairman of the board of FC Bayern Munich and the international tasks as deputy chairman of the European Club Association (ECA) require my full commitment Attention.”
However, the Bundesliga table leader wants to remain represented on the DFL executive committee. The club recommends its CFO Michael Diederich to choose its successor. “Michael is a very good choice when it comes to representing FC Bayern on this committee.
