Olbia. Island judo conquers America, Federico Deiana returns to the podium of the Veterans world championships held in Las Vegas.
Federico Deiana, judo athlete from the Olbia judo sports center, took part in the “Las Vegas World Judo Championships Veterans & Kata 2024 International Judo Federation” for the second consecutive year, the veterans world championships in which he fought in the M1 -60 kg category, playing 4 matches and winning three, the second step of the podium awaits him.
In his category he meets and beats the German Stadler, the Kazakh Burbassov and the home athlete Lafortune. Unfortunately he lost against the strong Georgian athlete Nadaereshvili who ranked first in his category.
The young athlete communicated the results obtained live from America, sharing this moment of personal and professional satisfaction, and now we are waiting for him to tell us about this fantastic stars and stripes adventure.
Great results also for Gian Mario Deiana in the M1 100kg category who played two matches against the Kazakh athlete Medeteov and the Georgian athlete Bogveradze. Now we wait for Raimondo Degortes’ competition in the M2 -66 kg category on Thursday 7 November.
