Fehérváry enjoyed the win over Slafkovský, Ovečkin’s three-pointer

On Thursday, two Slovaks bumped into each other. Neither scored, but the defender Martin Fehérváry had more reason to be satisfied as his Washington defeated Montreal 6-3 to win its seventh game in its last eight. Alex Ovechkin scored a goal and two assists, Alexej Protas and Tom Wilson scored a goal and an assist each, Jakub Vrána, Brandon Duhaime and Connor McMichael each scored a goal, Dylan Strome and Trevor van Riemsdyk each scored two assists. Charlie Lindgren made 13 saves against his former team. He was topped by Cole Caufield, Brendan Gallagher and Nick Suzuki’s two-pointer. Lane Hutson had two assists and Cayden Primeau had six goals on 34 shots. The Canadiens lost their second game in a row. Juraj Slafkovský he played 19 and a quarter minutes with two shots on goal, three points and a minor holding penalty. He started most of the duel alongside Kirby Dach and Alex Newhook. He achieved a Game Score of -0.68, while Fehérváry 2.84 as the sixth best player in the match. He played to his heart’s content again, when he was the team’s second busiest player with a time of 23:44. He scored a plus point, a shot on goal, two blocks and three points. TOR – SEA 4:1

Nylander and Woll led Toronto to a win over Seattle

William Nylander scored twice and Joseph Woll made 24 saves in his second start of the season as Toronto beat Seattle 4-1 to snap its second straight win after a three-game losing streak. Matthew Knies also hit the black, Auston Matthews into the empty net. He also added an assist, John Tavares scored two. The only Kraken goal was scored by Eeli Tolvanen, who reduced the score to 1:3 in the 57th minute. Joey Daccord made 26 saves in his team’s fourth loss in its last five games. Seattle was missing defenseman Brandon Montour, who returned home for the birth of his daughter.

PHI – STL 2:1

The Flyers snapped the Blues’ losing streak

Bobby Brink broke a tie late in the third period to give Philadelphia a 2-1 win over St. Louis. Garnet Hathaway scored his first goal of the season and the first since March 7, and Samuel Ersson’s 20 saves led to the third win in the last four games. This was surpassed only by Nathan Walker, who equalized at 1:1 in the middle of the third twenty-minute period. Jordan Binnington made 19 saves and the Blues lost their third straight game.

PIT – ANA 2:1 PP

Crosby made the decision to end the Penguins’ losing streak

Sidney Crosby scored twice, including in the third minute of overtime, to give Pittsburgh a 2-1 win over Anaheim that ended the Penguins’ six-game losing streak. Alex Nedeljkovic also contributed significantly to this, making 22 saves. He was surpassed only by Alex Killorn, who opened the score of the match. Lukáš Dostál left him with 44 saves. In the last two games, he covered 84 of 87 shots.

CAR – FOREST 8:2

A four-point shutout in a smooth win over the Bruins

Andrej Svečnikov had two goals and an assist, Martin Nečas had a goal and three assists, and Carolina defeated Boston 8-2 to extend its winning streak to five games. Jack Roslovic also scored two goals, Sean Walker, Jackson Blake and Jesperi Kotkaniemi added one each. Seth Jarvis and Shayne Gostisbehere had two assists. Piotr Kočetkov faced only 15 shots, from which he was defeated by Brad Marchand and Hampus Lindholm. David Pastrňák assisted on both goals. Joonas Korpisalo stopped 13 of 15 shots after replacing Jeremy Swayman in goal. He scored six goals from 22 shots. The Bruins lost their fifth game in their last six. Nečas scored in the fifth game in a row. He scored 12 points (4+8) during the streak!

NSH – EDM 1:5

Draisaitl three-pointer in Nashville win

Leon Draisaitl had two goals and one assist in Edmonton’s 5-1 win over Nashville, which snapped a four-game hitting streak (3-0-1). The Oilers won the third game out of the last four thanks to the first goals of the season from the sticks of Zach Hyman and Viktor Arvidsson. Corey Perry also scored, Calvin Pickard made 26 saves. Filip Forsberg was the only one who found the recipe for him, who equalized at 1:1 during the power play. Juuse Saros surrendered five times from 29 shots.

SJS – CHI 3:2

Smith’s first goals in his career decided the Sharks’ next win

Will Smith scored his first two NHL goals to help San Jose to a 3-2 win over Chicago as the California team celebrated its third straight win. Alexander Wennberg also scored, Mackenzie Blackwood blocked 26 shots. Ryan Donato and Tyler Bertuzzi turned the score from 0:1 to 2:1, Connor Murphy assisted on both goals. Petr Mrázek left the duel with 26 hits.
