Our Fenerbahçe Beko Men’s Basketball Team hosted Partizan Mozzart in the seventh week match of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague 2024-25 season. Our team won the match played at Ülker Sports and Event Hall 89-72, making it 2 out of 2 in the EuroLeague double match week.
Before the match, a moment of silence was observed due to the train accident in Novi Sad, Serbia.
Our President Ali Y. Koç, our former President Aziz Yıldırım and our Board Members watched the match together.
Dusan Tadic, one of the Captains of our Football Team, who was following the match, presented his signed jersey to Aziz Yıldırım’s daughter Yaz Yıldırım at the beginning of the second period; During the halftime, our former President Aziz Yıldırım, whose birthday was celebrated, experienced emotional moments.
Fenerbahçe Beko started the match with Khem Birch, Nigel Hayes-Davis, Bonzie Colson, Devon Hall and Wade Baldwin, and closed the first period ahead 22-15 with 3 consecutive three-pointers made by Tarık Biberovic and Nigel Hayes-Davis from behind the three-point line. Our team started the second period by collecting offensive rebounds and then brought the score to 25-17 with Tarık Biberovic’s three-pointer. Our team, which increased its defensive strength and forced Partizan to lose balls, increased the difference to double digits with Guduric’s three-pointer and forced Partizan to take a time-out. (30-19) Continuing its good play after the break, Fenerbahçe Beko widened the gap further with three-pointers from Marko Guduric, Dyshawn Pierre and Devon Hall, bringing the score to 41-27. Continuing its superior play in the remaining sections, Fenerbahçe Beko scored another three-pointer from behind the three-point line with Tarık, his 10th three-pointer of the match, and entered the locker room ahead 44-31.
Starting the third period with 2 three-pointers by Devon Hall and Nigel Hayes-Davis, Fenerbahçe Beko continued from where it left off with three-pointers and increased the difference to 16. Our team maintained its scoring advantage by playing the last quarter in a controlled manner and won the match 89-72.
