WEEE eco-participation
This is an amount paid by consumers for any purchase of a new device and donated to an Eco-organization whose mission is to take charge of the treatment and recycling of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE). ). WEEE eco-participation has applied to electrical and electronic products since 2006 in France.
Its amount depends on the product purchased. Each distributor or manufacturer joins an eco-organization and applies its eco-participation amount. You can consult the different eco-participation scales on the following sites:

What is it for?
The amount of the eco-participation is used to finance and improve the collection, depollution and recycling of old products.
Taking back and recycling your old devices
For electrical and electronic equipment, DARTY has been committed for many years to facilitating recycling by taking your used equipment back to your home free of charge upon delivery of your new device. It is even possible to take back 2 devices if you wish.
In-store collection areas are available to drop off your small used devices and consumables (batteries, cartridges). These devices are then entrusted to eco-organizations, specialized in the treatment, recovery and elimination of WEEE.
