He passed away on November 25, at the age of 73, Fiorenzo Meuccidirector ofNational Lifesaving AssociationPisa section, a reality that in twenty-five years has trained more than 4 thousand lifeguards. Fiorenzo died in his home, in via Battelli, after a long illness that had undermined him physically, but not spiritually.
The memory of his son
«Dad was like that – says his son Gabriele – he always had a good word for everyone. He loved his family in an exemplary way and always saw the glass half full, even in the most difficult moments.” Fiorenzo Meucci was a point of reference for the Pisan seaside resorts, but also on a sporting level. Thirteen times Italian champion in free wrestling, a bronze at the Mediterranean Games, as well as important medals in judo. In his gym La Maison du sport, in via Andrea Pisano, he trained every day. And even as a fighter in the Bridge Game, in the Magistracy of the Satyrs, he had made his contribution.
Meucci was a gentle giant, always ready to lend a hand if needed, he with his inseparable cigar, riding his Vespa. Among his many activities he also carried out the management of a bar “Alle antica navi” in via Bonanno. And then his great desire to learn which led him, ten years ago, to graduate in Criminology at the University of Perugia.
The family

He never complained about his health situation, if anything he thought about others. This is to make you understand who Fiorenzo was.” The body was placed in the chapels of the Public Assistance. Meucci leaves behind his wife Monica and his children Gabriele, lawyer, former councilor of the Municipality of San Giuliano, and Michele, accountant. The last farewell on Wednesday 27 November, at 3pm, to Santa Maria Madre della Chiesa in Don Bosco.
