PARKWIJK – The badminton players of FIT Almere achieved an expected big victory on Sunday against the low-ranked VELO Badminton from Wateringen.
The final score was 7-1, with the 8-0 being narrowly missed, because Alida Chen had to admit her superiority in Amy Tan with 20-22 in the third decisive game, a match that was already clear in advance that this was a would be exciting. The other games went to FIT Almere relatively easily.
Distanced
With this victory and Duinwijck’s 8-0 victory over Roosterse, both clubs have now distanced themselves from DKC and Dropshot in the battle for the final of the national championship.
Coach Dave Khodabux was happy that the team had done what it had to do, despite the loss of concentration in some games.
In the lead
