By winning the unique final of the Brasileirão U17, Fluminense became the greatest champion of the country’s main youth competition. The club equaled the number of titles held by Flamengo and Palmeiras, beaten 2-0 by Moleques de Xerém, last Friday (01/11), at Allianz Parque, in São Paulo (SP). Each of the only three winners of the tournament opened in 2019 has two trophies. There were, in total, six editions.
“I often say that Xerém is a place of dedicated and winning people. I think this achievement confirms the work of each of them and puts us on an even higher level. Winning the Brazilian titles and the Copa do Brasil in the same season, in a such an important training category, it will be forever marked in my life. I’m sure it also marks the athletes’ careers and the professionals’ history, after all, it’s a work of many hands. We know it’s been a long journey, but bringing more. a medal on our chest, in such a special year, makes it all worth it. We are on the right path”, said coach Felipe Canavan.

The second title guaranteed by Esquadrilha 07 came four years after the victory of Geração dos Sonhos and took away Alviverde’s chance at the tri. Furthermore, it gave the kids an unprecedented feat: considering the undefeated title of the Copa do Brasil, celebrated on May 1st, they became the first to win both competitions organized by the CBF in the category.
“What we did at Allianz Parque confirms the maturation and evolution of our players. I saw a balanced team, which knew how to understand what the game required, competed from the first to the last minute and, when they had the ball, tried to play, understanding where they could take advantage of the opponent. Let’s enjoy it, because we know how difficult it is to win.
To compete in their first final in the championship since 2020, Tricolor, which has never been left out of the qualifiers, had the support of around 50 employees, who traveled by bus from the Vale das Laranjeiras Training Center, in Xerém, towards to the decision stage, on the day of the game.
The stands were also attended by dozens of family members and fans to honor the 14th mug raised in 2024 by Moleques de Xerém.
