Spark your Ultimate Team™ with Black Friday: Thunderstruck, dynamic players—including current players and ICONS—eligible for in-game upgrades based on the real-world performances in their club’s next domestic league matches. Thunderstruck ICONS will upgrade based on the performance of one of their former clubs!
Each boost will be as electric as the players themselves, affecting their Ratings, PlayStyles and Roles to help them shine on the pitch. Player items are eligible for an upgrade from Nov 29. Check out how players will achieve their upgrades below:

‘Flash’ Flashback player SBCs will feature for the second year in a row, with special versions of select players! Keep an eye on the Squad Building Challenges section in-game as these SBCs will only be live for 24 hours!
Lightning strikes twice during Black Friday: Thunderstruck with the re-release of top Team of the Week players and beloved campaign players from the season so far in Ultimate Team. Look to add these top performers and standout stars to your XI throughout the week, with the ‘Best-of’ TOTW players in the player pool available in packs from 27 November until 6 December and the ‘Best-of’ campaign players featuring from 28 November until 6 December.
On Thursday November 28, all 14 Origin Club Hero items from the FC25 Pre-order offer will receive their “Prime” upgrade! These players will automatically upgrade including; Increased OVR, Stats, PlayStyles and a new Illustrated action shot!

Each Winter Champions player is eligible for a +2 OVR & PlayStyle upgrade based on their club’s league table position on January 3. The first set of Winter Champions will be released in the Season Ladder spotlighting the Premier League race, with follow up releases planned in Squad Building Challenges throughout Season 3.
In Season 3, we’re introducing a new and exciting way to earn SP in Ultimate Team! Traditional Daily and Weekly Objectives will be replaced by One Nation Live Friendly Objectives, providing fresh and engaging challenges every week. These objectives will focus on major FUT Nations, starting with this season’s World Tour spotlight: Argentina. SP will still be available through Weekly Play Games Objectives and Campaign experiences, giving you plenty of ways to progress!
As part of the Black Friday celebrations, we are excited to announce changes to Champions, Rivals & Squad Battles with the brand new Mode Mastery program. Competing weekly in these modes respectively will earn you Champs Mastery, Rivals Mastery & Squad Battles Mastery player items.
These Mastery player items can be exchanged for Packs, Picks & even more Mode Mastery players throughout the Season within Mode Mastery Exchange SBCs. Some of the rewards include an 88+ Base ICON Pick in exchange for 16 Mode Mastery Players (Champs Mastery, Rivals Mastery & Squad Battles Mastery), or an 85+ x 30 in exchange for 6 Mode Mastery players.
A maximum of 28 Mode Mastery items are earnable in Season 3, with an additional Squad Battles, Champions, and Rivals Mastery player item each made available in the FUT Store in the final week of the season.
Lastly, we are making a key adjustment to Champions Play-offs starting in Season 3. To provide players with more flexibility and a chance to compete, the number of Play-offs matches per attempt is increasing from 5 to 6. You’ll now need to secure 3 wins out of 6 matches to qualify for Champions Finals.
