Former Uruguayan football star Diego Forlan said he feels “privileged and has nothing to prove” when he plays his first professional tennis match.
Forlan will compete in doubles matches in the Montevideo tournament within the Challenger tournaments scheduled from November 11 to 17, alongside Argentine Federico Correa.
Forlan, the former Manchester United and Atletico Madrid striker, said in a press conference yesterday: I enjoy tennis like a little boy, and playing a professional tournament makes me feel privileged. I never imagined that I would have the opportunity to play tennis at the professional level.
