It was quickly realized that Kelly had broken her right leg as she attempted to stand, and she was seen struggling to hold on to it.

The scene was painful to watch as his teammates began to understand what was happening to the signal caller.

One of his team-mates even fell to the ground and was completely distraught to see Kelly lying on the grass, seemingly shocked by what had happened.

Kelly’s night was clearly over after suffering an injury. He finished 11-for-22 for 182 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions.

However, the Argonauts went on to defeat the Montreal Alouettes 30-28 and advance to the Gray Cup finals against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

Kelly suffered a broken tibia and fibula in his right ankle after Alouette defensive end Isaac Adeyemi-Berglund landed on Kelly’s leg while running.

Kelly confirmed his injury in a statement Sunday night and said he expects to make a full recovery within three to six months.

“I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the doctors and staff at Montreal General Hospital, my family, teammates and team owners who have been by my side throughout this experience,” Kelly said in a statement. “The incredible support from my fans means the world to me and I am truly grateful for all the messages I have received.

“I couldn’t be more proud of our team for their great win and I’m excited to advance to the Gray Cup. It’s unfortunate that I won’t be able to play in the game, but I believe the team and staff will do their best. Thank you again for your tremendous support. See you soon!”

As a final choice, ‘Mr. Kelly, who was ‘Irrelevant’ 2017 NFL DraftHe leads the Argonauts after receiving a nine-game suspension from the league for violating its gender-based violence policy.

Kelly was accused of sexual harassment in February by a former female assistant coach, who also sued the team for wrongful termination.
