EUROPEAN YOUTH BASEBALL 5 CHAMPIONSHIPS 2024 – In Ceyrat, the young French players put up a great competition, and were rewarded with a bronze medal.
Last year, for the first Youth World Cup in history, the French baseball team 5 affirmed its talent in this new discipline by winning a superb silver medal. There were a few members of this training still present for the European Championships, and since they were organized in Puy-de-Dôme, in Ceyrat, the Bleuets had high hopes.
Disappointed hopes for the title, since two defeats during the Super Round against the two finalists, Lithuania and Turkey, only allowed them to play the match for bronze against Spain. A meeting which was decided in the first round, which the Bleuets won on a last point signed Alirio Gil during the 6th bot. Disconcerted, the Spaniards gave up and the second round was a formality, for a victory 2-0 (3-2, 7-1) of the French team, which won a superb bronze medal, and confirms French talent in this discipline.
