In the match on the 12th, the Okinawa Prefecture Basketball Team and the Fujian Provincial Youth Basketball Team presented a wonderful competition. The Fujian Provincial Youth Basketball Team takes advantage of their height to frequently attack the inside to create scoring opportunities. Facing tall opponents, the Okinawa Prefecture basketball team relies on speed and solid basic skills to make full use of its small, fast and agile characteristics. In the end, the Okinawa Prefecture basketball team won the first game between the two sides 100:97. On the 13th, the Okinawa Prefecture basketball team will have another match with the Fujian Provincial Youth Basketball Team, and then will go to Xiamen to communicate with the Xiamen University Youth Basketball Team.

After the game, Nori Higoe, president of the Okinawa Prefecture Basketball Association, expressed the hope that through the basketball game, young people from the two places can be friendly to each other and have long-term exchanges in sports, culture and other fields.

The Okinawa Prefecture basketball team will also visit historical and cultural scenic spots such as Three Lanes and Seven Alleys, Ryukyu Hall, and Gulangyu Island, and communicate with teachers and students of Fujian Normal University and Xiamen.

Fujian Province and Okinawa Prefecture have established friendly relations since 1997.
