Morelia, Michoacán, November 23, 2024.- With the constitutional reform, the Michoacana University of San Nicolás de Hidalgo (UMSNH) will enjoy permanent budget sufficiency for its strengthening and attention to administrative pending issues, stated Governor Alfredo Ramírez Bedolla.
Explaining that the reform guarantees a full budget for the Maximum House of Studies, the president shared that the resource allocated will not be retroactive, granting it 4.5 percent of the total state budget each year.
He highlighted that in 2025 the increase that will be given to the UMSNH will be 20.10 percent (750 million pesos more than in 2024), so the institution will have zero deficit and will be enough to resolve issues such as worker retirements in process.
Ramírez Bedolla pointed out that in this way the increase in resources for the university will be permanent with the constitutional reform and additionally the state will continue to support infrastructure projects for its development.
Finally, he recalled that the institution will also be given full autonomy and will establish its own retirement and pension system, as well as a democratic process for the election of the rector where students, teachers and administrators participate.
