Full sail for the start of the 10th Vendée Globe

The start of the 10th Vendée Globe, a solo, non-stop and unassisted round-the-world sailing trip, takes place from Les Sables-d’Olonne this Sunday at midday. This journey across the planet’s oceans remains one of the greatest challenges in sport, taken on this year by 40 sailors, 34 men and 6 women of 11 different nationalities, on monohulls of just over 18 meters. Declared winner in 2020, Frenchman Yannick Bestaven is once again embarking on the adventure.
