Bryson DeChambeau |
Bryson DeChambeau (USA) succeeded in a hole-in-one after 16 days of trying.
DeChambeau has been creating various content with the recent end of the LIV golf season. We filmed a series called ‘Break 50’ with President-elect Donald Trump and NFL legend Tom Brady, and also released content on making birdies with children’s golf clubs.
Recently, the hole-in-one challenge was revealed on social media. This is a video of a player setting up an artificial mat tee box in the front yard of his house and attempting a hole-in-one by crossing the house with a wedge shot onto the green made in the backyard. Try once on the first day, then increase the number of attempts by one more from the second day. It was a challenge worthy of the eccentric DeChambeau, known as the ‘physicist of the field’ for his extraordinary attempts.
DeChambeau’s challenge ended with a hole-in-one on the 16th day. DeChambeau released a video of his hole-in-one success through social media on the 28th (Korean time).
DeChambeau failed to make a hole-in-one on his first 13 shots. Adding up the 120 over the previous 15 days, he missed 133 shots. However, the 134th shot was sucked into the hole. When the news of a hole-in-one came from the backyard, DeChambeau jumped up and down in joy. He ran to the backyard, checked the hole-in-one, took out the ball, and enjoyed it.
DeChambeau smiled broadly and said, “I can’t believe I got a hole-in-one. Now that’s it.”
DeChambeau is a star who has won nine times on the PGA Tour, including twice winning the U.S. Open. He is currently off the PGA Tour and has two wins with LIV Golf. However, the only hole-in-one is the 16th hole (par 3) in the final round of the 2019 Masters.
