The German basketball professionals in the NBA continue to set the tone. Dennis Schröder led the Brooklyn Nets to a comeback win against the Golden State Warriors 128:120 after his team had temporarily trailed by 18 points. Schröder scored 17 of his 31 points in the final quarter.

Fanz Wagner also won the ninth game out of the last ten games with the Orlando Magic with a 95:84 win over the Charlotte Hornets. Wagner contributed 21 points and seven assists, his friend Moritz had 16 points, and German rookie Tristan da Silva had nine. And Florian Hartenstein (photo) set another highlight from a German perspective with another double-double. The center recorded 17 points and ten rebounds in Oklahoma’s 130-109 win over the Sacramento Kings and, in just his second game of the season after breaking his hand, showed once again how valuable he could be in the race for the NBA championship. Maximilian Kleber (7 points) and the Dallas Mavericks were also able to celebrate a success with a 129:119 win in Atlanta. For Daniel Theis (8) and New Orleans, however, the negative series continued, the 110:114 at the Indiana Pacers was the eleventh defeat from the last twelve games. SID/PHOTO: AFP
