Welcome to Game On! JOY 94.9’s Home of Sport every Wednesday from 8-9pm where you’ll hear where you can get your game on! This show is all about you and how you can get your game on by showcasing where sport is safe, inclusive, welcoming and fun for the Rainbow community!

On the show this week we are joined by Sandra Lie Founder and President of Australia’s premiere women’s LBTIQA+ inclusive badminton group the Shuttle Swingers. There is a lot going on from Mardi Gras, to Fair Day, to the Gay Games, to the Trans-Tasman Tournament which the Shuttle Swingers are hosting on 25 October 2025! (Starts 2min21secs)

Molly Fuller, Team Captain – Water Basketball Tasmania tells us how you can enjoy this quirky and fun sport. Pop your rainbow swim cap on, and a pair of flippers and have fun splashing about in the pool while you get fit and make friends. (Starts 17mins 47 secs)

And Jill Taylor, President – North Hobart Cricket Club tells us about a fantastic initiative that is taking place for the third time on Sunday 1 December in Tasmania at Kangaroo Bay Oval. The annual Pride game between two of the Premier League clubs  – North Hobart and Clarence for the men and women’s 1sts and women’s 2nds. It is a sensational event with the aim of raising awareness that cricket is an inclusive space for the Rainbow community. If you are in the area – head along! A massive shout out to Jill  for being such an incredible Ally as well as Craig Rainbird – President of Clarence District Cricket Club and everyone involved – for joining forces and sending the powerful message that everyone belongs in sport! (Starts 31mins 22secs)

A big thank you to all of our guests for their support of an inclusive and supportive sporting culture and mindset, and encouraging everyone in the Rainbow community to get their game on!

And thank you for being a part of Team Game On!
