Gianmarco Tamberi was a guest on Francesca Fagnani’s “Belve” show, among the many topics touched upon were his passion for basketball and the choice (which later proved successful) to leave it to dedicate himself to the high jump. Gianmarco, however, also managed to gain some satisfaction in basketball by participating twice in the NBA All Star Celebrity Game, first in 2022 and then in 2024. These are his words:
“I played basketball until I was 17, I still like it more. If I had still played basketball I would have been less proud, but happier. Doing what you love makes a difference. In the end it’s not so nice to jump a bar. I had to make that choice, but I don’t love what I do.”
