The game began with a clear script. Basketball Sevilla took to the court with overwhelming intensity, quickly taking control of the game. In the first minutes, GMASB could not stop the offensive pace of the visitors, who took advantage of every defensive error by the home team.

The defense of the Sevillian team, aggressive and well structured, nullified the options of the local players, who were overwhelmed in every action. Marta García’s quick transitions and effectiveness in the paint were key for the Sevillians to reach halftime with a wide lead of 19 points. GMASB could not find solutions in attack and could barely contain the offensive flow of the visitors.

Despite the disadvantage, the GMASB players did not give up. The third quarter began with a better rhythm for the locals, who managed to reduce the difference thanks to a renewed success in their shots and a more aggressive defense. GMASB’s standout player, Patricia Fernández, led the reaction with important points both in the zone and from the perimeter, which gave some hope to the fans present.

However, this resurgence was only momentary. The Sevilla Basketball team once again imposed its dominance with a solid defense and, when the locals seemed to get closer, Marta García and especially María Recio, from the three-point line, once again made the difference with several consecutive triples that ended the aspirations of the GMASB players.

With the game already decided, Baloncesto Sevilla managed to further extend its lead to the final 47-73. The locals, although they tried until the end, were clearly surpassed by a team of indisputable quality and a squad that will make them continue leading the standings.
