Golden State becomes the first team in the NBA Cup quarterfinals

The Golden State Warriors are the first team to secure their ticket to the quarterfinals of the NBA Cup.

The Californians defeated the New Orleans Pelicans away on Friday 112:108 and secured victory in their group in the tournament, which, with the exception of the final, is also part of the regular season of the North American professional basketball league.

Golden State also benefited from the Denver Nuggets’ 120:123 defeat against the Dallas Mavericks.

Nuggets star Nikola Jokic couldn’t prevent this during his comeback. The 29-year-old Serb, who recently sat out three games due to the birth of his second child, achieved a triple-double with 33 points, 17 rebounds and ten assists.

With one of these, Giannis Antetokounmpo also led his Milwaukee Bucks to a 129:117 win against the Indiana Pacers. The Greek had 37 points, eleven assists and ten rebounds.
