Casalecchio, 24 November 2024 – Pain and bewilderment in the world of amateur football in Bolognafor the premature death, on Friday, of Michele Marrese, a professional policeman in the Emilia Romagna Postal Police Department, and well known also in the sporting world with the suit of long-time coach, today with the colors of Anzolavino. Resident in Casalecchiohe was 56 years old and was defeated by a serious illness that gave him no escape. Born in Taranto, after the successful experience in women’s football ‘mister’ Marrese for work reasons he moved to Bologna where he put his experience to good use and cultivated his passion first in the Pianoro area, and then in Monte San Pietro, together with Maurizio Rossi and Vito Melotti. Condolence was expressed by the police unions Sap and Siulp, by the many sports clubs, and by his friend and colleague Gianfilippo Rossi, operational director of Sasso Marconi, who remembers Marrese’s “talent, competence and passion. And the great technical skills and human beings, as a winning aggregator and manager of groups that will never be able to forget it”. The funeral is Tuesday at 3pm in the church of Santa Lucia in Casalecchio.
