The fourth stage of the Italian Judo Trophy was held on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th in Rossano. Among the Calabrian athletes, the podium went to Domina Maritato from Cosenza (Rookies category B – 57 kg), competitor of the Sport Academy of maestro Mirco Antognetti
Numerous participants arrived from all over Southern Italy.
Domina Maritato’s race was precise and truly brilliant.
A good race also for Carlotta Iaconetti (category Beginners B – 67 kg) who did not reach the podium due to a mistake made in the last seconds of the race, arriving, unfortunately, only fifth.
Bad day for Loris Cristiano who, contrary to expectations, only finished fifth.
The coach Mirco Antognetti and the athletic trainer Vincenzo Uccello say they are particularly satisfied with the results achieved in the women’s categories.
As regards the men’s categories, however, despite the good results achieved, they remained well below expectations with the awareness of having to persist with training, refine techniques and improve the management of emotions.
