MAZATLAN._ Rockies-Mazatlán won a dramatic victory at the start of the Mazatlán Baseball Tournament-Venados 2024 by beating Liga Mazatlán 3 runs to 2, in a Minor Youth category game.
Rockies came from behind and after trailing 0-2, they reacted in the fourth inning and with a cluster of three runs they turned the score around, heading towards victory.
Manuel Rubio scored the victory on the mound, in relief of starter Ángel Simental. Justino Sánchez was notified of rescue.
Jorge Palma was the defeated pitcher in relief of Joseph Galván.
Didier Segovia stood out on offense for the Rockies by going 2-for-3.
NOQUE LIGA QUINTERO
In the Minor Children’s category game, Liga Quintero Castañeda scored a 17-0 knockout victory over MM Team-Nuevo León.
Diego Villanueva was the winning pitcher in relief of Javier Sánchez. Gerardo Garza was the loser.
On offense, the winners, Ignacio Virgen, Abdiel Mariscal and Aarón Cárdenas, stood out by hitting a pair of hits each.
OTHER RESULTS
Guantes Romin from Aguascalientes defeated Tigres de Ojo Caliente-Zacatecas by a score of 13-3, within the Minor Children’s category.
José Alfredo Rodríguez was the figure when he took the victory on the shooting mound and also hit a home run. In addition to Rodríguez, William Contreras and Ángel Alfaro also blew the fence.
The Mini Sox-Pachuca team, Hidalgo, had a successful presentation in the Mazatlán Baseball Tournament-Venados 2024 by beating Colonia Hidalgo-Chihuahua 8-2, within the Senior Youth category.
Pitcher Bayron González emerged victorious in the match, Alfredo Castro and Gabriel Celaya completed the route up the mound.
Bayron González himself stood out on offense by going 2-for-3, Arturo Serrano finished 2-for-4 and Gabriel Celaya went 2-for-3.
