Reigning DFB captain Giulia Gwinn had to be substituted in the top Bundesliga game between FC Bayern and Eintracht Frankfurt. Because of an elbow blow from Sophia Kleinherne, Gwinn lost a tooth.

Bayern pushes Wolfsburg out of the top spot
With now 19 points to their name, the defending champions pushed rivals VfL Wolfsburg, who had the same number of points, back from the top after one day. Frankfurt and Bayer Leverkusen (both 17 points) remain within striking distance. Frankfurt’s coach Niko Arnautis (“We can live with the point very well”) is happy about the close race at the top.
“It’s incredibly nice that the league is getting closer together – also for the product. I think we all get something out of it. It’s always nice when there’s tension,” said the coach: “It’s also because The clubs are becoming more and more professional.
