The match took place in El Nido, the gym located in the University Sports Unit, in which the State Universiade was launched, organized by the Universidad Veracruzana and whose discipline culminated on Wednesday with two matches and where the men’s team, the Halcones, they confirmed their superiority and certainly also obtained passage to the Regional Universiade, next April in Tlaxcala.
As we noted above, the Halcones-UV men’s team, led by Néstor Hernández Flores, even before concluding the qualifying tournament, added two sensational victories, the first with 138 to 29 against Benemérita Escuela Normal Veracruzana Enrique Rébsamen and the second for 96 for 28 against the Quetzales, of the University Institute of Veracruzano; the IUV, which for its part won 68-51 against the Universidad Euro Hispanoamericano, among other things the last rival of the birds.
