Handball, Sporting Lisbon-PSG (39-28): deprived of several executives, the Parisians take on water

A duel of goalkeepers. Between the Dane from Paris Jannick Green and the Norwegian from Lisbon Andrè Bergsholm Kristensen, the battle was fierce for thirty minutes. With 17 saves out of 44 attempts (39%), the Sporting Lisbon goalkeeper finally emerged victorious from this distance duel thanks to a high-flying second period and allowed his team to win (39-28). A precious success for the Lisbonites, who come back to within a small point of the Parisians, despite everything still second.

The start of the match, however, was to the advantage of Paris Saint-Germain. Very leggy, the Dane Jacob Tandrup Holm struck hard from the start by scoring four goals in the first eight minutes. Francisco Mota Costa, however, always responded to leave his team in contact. The entry of Gautier Loredon, a handsome baby of 2 m and 103 kg at only 22 years old, however allowed the Parisians to create an initial gap (7-10), which did not last long. At the break, the Portuguese led by a small goal (16-15).

It was just the beginning. Still performing as well, Kristensen continued to make a series of saves, while Jannick Green was out of fuel, with seven goals conceded in a row. Martim Mota Costa and his brother Francisco had a field day, with nine and six goals respectively. The Egyptian from PSG Yahia Omar made a series of errors and caused the collapse of his team, trailing by six goals 20 minutes from the end of the match (25-19).

Without Elohim Prandi, Luka Karabatic, Luc Steins or Andreas Palicka, the task was far too difficult for the Parisians. In front of an incandescent audience, where all generations came together to encourage their team, the gap only increased, reaching its peak at the end of the match (39-28). The bill is hefty, but logical.
