The Atlanta Hawks have been fined $100,000 for violating the league’s Player Participation Policy regarding Trae Young’s failure to participate in the Nov. 12 Emirates NBA Cup game against the Boston Celtics at TD Garden.
Following an investigation, with the assistance of an independent medical professional, it was determined that the Hawks decided not to sit Young out despite him being fit to play.
Despite the absence of the point guard, the Georgia team managed to surprise the reigning champions.
