He escapes from house arrest to steal a moped and ends up in prison. This is what happened in Viterbo to a 28-year-old, who the police define as a “multi-convict”.
The facts date back to the night between 4 and 5 November, when the operations center ordered the intervention of a patrol from the mobile radio section, on a circuit in the capital, following the report of a suspicious subject.
Shortly afterwards, the military intercepted and stopped the 28-year-old in Piazzale Gramsci on board a scooter and, having ascertained, during identification, that he had violated house arrest, they again subjected him to the precautionary measure in his home. However, considering that the young man had behaved suspiciously during the check, the police decided to carry out further investigations.
The reconstruction of the 28-year-old’s movements that night led the military to closely link the escape with the theft of a moped, stolen in via Garbini and found shortly afterwards in via Marini. They therefore submitted the request to aggravate the precautionary measure to the judicial authority which, having evaluated the elements collected, issued a precautionary custody order in prison.
