“We are made for victory!” This is how Amon-Ra St. Brown and the Lions reach the Super Bowl
After seven bankruptcies in a row in the regular season, the New Orleans Saints are sending NFL head coach Dennis Allen out the door. The franchise confirmed reports in the early evening (CET). ESPN and that NFL Network citing unnamed sources.
After two wins at the start of the season, the Saints are in a serious crisis. Most recently, the New Orleans franchise narrowly lost 22:23 against the Carolina Panthers, who had only won one game before. Both teams now have a record of 2-7.
Allen took over his position from Sean Payton last year after spending six years as defensive coordinator for the Saints. His personal record: 18 wins and 25 defeats.
“Dennis was extremely loyal, professional and, above all, an outstanding football coach for us,” said Saints owner Gayle Benson. “However, I felt that we had to make this decision at this time.”
