Olympic day with golden highlights. The traditional moment of awarding the sporting excellence of the area will be staged on Saturday 30 November in the headquarters of the Province of Lodi: the provincial delegation of the CONI led by Emanuele Angona has defined the names of the awarded athletes and among them there is a gold medal from Paris. This is Fabrizio Cornegliani, the man from Valero who at the 2024 Paralympic Games crowned his dream of winning five circles by winning the time trial in the H1 handbike class. The two Italians from Lodi who were blue at the Olympic Games, “Lolly” Omoruyi gold with volleyball and Edoardo Scotti twice finalist in athletics, are not among the winners: a choice linked to questions of residence (“sports” but not only). Among the “Athletes of the Year”, in addition to Cornegliani, there will be those who have medaled in international youth events such as Eduardo Cornelli (baseball), Beatrice Guarneri (softball), Asia Gruppioni (karate) and Giacomo Abbiati (canoe). Among those who have shone at the level of the Italian championships, Santangiolina Kelly Ann Doualla Edimo, twice Italian Under 16 champion in athletics, stands out (also in perspective). All the winners in the “Cittadino” on Friday 15 November.
