Highest award for TVG judoka Markus Ehret

High award on Friday, November 8th, 2024, for Judo Team Gundelfingen member Markus Ehret by a high-ranking delegation from the Baden Judo Association. For his decades of service in judo, Markus was awarded 6th Dan. The 6th Dan, which is symbolized by a red and white belt, is a high award that the German Judo Federation only gives to a few judoka. An application for the 6th Dan was submitted in advance and approved by a high-ranking honorary council of the DJB after careful review. This outstanding award was presented by Norbert Nolte, the honorary president of the Baden Judo Association, accompanied by the BJV president Markus Eisenmann and honorary member of the BJV Franz-Jürgen Zeiser at the TVG club training in the Kandelhalle in Gundelfingen. Norbert Nolte found words of appreciation for Markus’ long-standing commitment and dedication to the Baden Judo Association. Markus has been a member of TV Gundelfingen 05 since 2012 and has had the DOSB Trainer C license since 1999 and the Trainer B competitive sports license from the German Judo Federation since 2017. In 2023 he received the Baden Judo Association’s gold badge of honor. Furthermore, Markus has been involved as a district representative since 1980 and as a representative at the regional council level since 2000 for the “Youth train for the Olympics” competition in Baden-Württemberg. He has been active since 1996 as a kata teacher at Dan preparation courses and Dan examiner at the level of the Baden Judo Association. He has been co-organizer of the Judo Kata Center in Gundelfingen since 2014.
